Teacher assistants
Hello Parents and senior students,
I am looking for senior students who would like to volunteer as teacher assistants for some of the early classes. Last year we had a number of lovely volunteers who had a great time helping out our younger students. Teacher assistants may be asked to help with tuning at the start of a class, to lead a song for the group on their instrument, help with bow holds or catch "falling" violins. I heard so many great comments from teachers last year about their assistants that we'd love to do it again! This is a great and fun way to add to the volunteer hours for high school too!
For our senior students who are graduating high school this year and considering Suzuki teacher training this is a great opportunity to get a taste of being a teacher! We are hoping to offer introductory training at ACSI this coming year. If you are interested in this please let me know as it will help us decide what level to offer.
