Group Class Information

Here is the 2009/2010 Schedule in PDF format (requires Acrobat Reader), including the list of teacher contacts, solo concerts and special events, and a Review-You-Do chart for violinists of all levels.

Where

Group Classes are held at Memorial University of Newfoundland's School of Music. (Building 24 on St. John's Campus Map) The map of the building is on the walls in several places in the halls.

When

Group class dates for 2009/2010:

* Switch dates to be announced. "Switch date" denotes when your child may move up to the next group class. Approval from your child's studio teacher is required.

Special Events 2009/2010

November 1: Graduation Concert
(Sat/Sun) St. David's Church, 98 Elizabeth Avenue
Rehearsal between 9am and 1pm on the day before (Saturday). Concert commences at 1:30, please arrive at 1:00 for tuning and be available until the end of the concert at approx. 3pm
December 12: Group class Christmas Play-In and Pot Luck
(Saturday) St. Mark's Church, Logy Bay Rd
Please arrive at 9:30 for 10:00 concert. Concert usually runs at least 1 hour, please be available until noon (don't forget your treats afterwards!)
March 13: Public Concert
(Saturday) (TBA)
This concert will be held in the afternoon, please arrive at 1pm for a 1:30 start. Concert will likely run until approx. 3pm
June 5: Group class Final Concert Play-In
(Saturday) Cook Recital Hall, MUN
Please arrive at 9:30 for 10:00 concert. Concert usually runs at least 1 hour, please be available until noon

Solo concerts

All solo concerts take place at St. David's Church, 98 Elizabeth Avenue.

Rehearsals are held between 9 and 12 on the day before (Saturday), all concerts commence at 1:30, please arrive at 1:00 for tuning and be available until the end of the concert at approx. 3pm
